Through his successful career in Hindi movies, Khan has established himself as one of the most famous and powerful actors of Indian cinema.
Khan first appeared on screen as a kid performer in his uncle Nasir Hussain’s movie “Yaadon Ki Baaraat” (1973). His first feature film role came with all the experimental film “Holi” (1984), and he began a full time career in film using a leading character in the tremendously successful tragic love story “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” (1988). His performance in the film and in the thriller “Raakh” (1989) earned him a Special Jury Award in the National Film Award ceremony.
