From 1984 to 1992, he served as the CEO and Chairman ofFox, Inc. Now, Barry Diller serves as the Chairman ofIAC/InterActiveCorpand Expedia. Since 2002, Diller was already section of the board of Coca-Cola.

Diller is a part of the Television Hall of Fame, having been inducted in 1994.

Diller leave 20th Century Fox in 1992 and bought a $25 million stake in QVC teleshopping network. Diller then started a bid to buy Paramount Communications, but lost it to Viacom. Diller stepped down from QVC in 1995. In 1997, Diller got the assets of Silver King Broadcasting, the collective group of over the air TV stations possessed by then Bud Paxson’s Home Shopping Network along with the Home Shopping Network itself. Along with this specific acquisition, Diller additionally bought the rights to the USA Network in the Bronfman family. The objective of the network was to possess the main, WAMI, create sports and news programming while testing general interest scheduling for the other stations in the group, of which the general interest scheduling would be locally made by the other stations in the group.
