Born June 25, 1954 in Los Angeles, California, David Paich is famous for his work in the group Toto in addition to his contributions to songwriting and musical arrangements with such artists as Boz Scaggs (extensively in the ’70s) and Michael Jackson in the ’80s. During his stint with all the band Toto, Paich co-composed such tunes as Hold the Line, 99, Lowdown (recorded by Boz Scaggs), Lido Shuffle (recorded by Boz Scaggs), Georgy Porgy, Rosanna, and more. David continued with Toto until 2008, when Toto disbanded. Toto resumed touring in 2010 and Paich shared the computer keyboard/touring responsibility with Steve Porcaro. As a songwriter, Paich in addition has composed or co-written for such artists as Cher, Andy Williams, The Jacksons, Glen Campbell, John Anderson and Chicago at the same time as handled arrangements for Rod Stewart, Patti Austin, Donna Summer and lots of other bands/artists. As a session musician he has played on numerous tracks for artists including Bryan Adams, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, Don Henley, Steely Dan, Elton John, Joe Cocker and Pink. In 2014, the session recorded with Latin Rock star El Chicano and is featured on computer keyboards on several tracks from their 2014 studio album.

David Paich traveled to China where he worked composing theme music for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Paich was involved together with the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards as a music producer and keyboardist for the onstage band.
