He left Goldman in 1995 jointly with Pierre Lagrange and Jonathan Green to co-found, GLG Partners. Gottesman and his partners sold the company to the Man Group on October 2010 for $1.6 billion. The acquisition created the world’s largest publicly traded asset management firm. Currently, Gottesman runs TOMS Capital, a New York City based investment company.
