Tim Armstrong (Rancid) Net Worth: Produced in Berkeley, California, in 1965, Tim Armstrong formed his first band, Basic Radio, in 1985 with his childhood pal and Little League teammate Matt Freeman. The group just ever released demos before breaking up and giving way to Operation Ivy in 1987. Operation Ivy disbanded two years later after releasing their debut album, which would continue to experience surprise achievement years after. After the group broke up, Armstrong began abusing alcohol and lost his dwelling. He and Freeman teamed up to form the band Rancid, partially within an effort to pull Armstrong from his black hole. Rancid has released eight studio albums, selling more than four million records round the globe. In the late ’90s, Armstrong began working with all The Transplants and was part of many albums with the group.
